susan evansSusan L. Evans is an employment law attorney in Asheville, NC.  Evans is a graduate of Queens College and Campbell University School of Law, where she was awarded membership to the Order of the Barristers, a national honor society that provides recognition to individuals who have excelled in courtroom advocacy while competing on their respective schools' court teams.  Her primary practice focus is on employment and business law. Evans also litigates contract law, tort law, real estate law, construction law and consumer law.


Before joining Ferikes & Bleynat as a litigation associate in 2004, Evans worked for First American Title Insurance Company in Riverside, CA.  She also worked as an associate attorney at Young, Morphis, Bach & Taylor in Hickory, NC, clerked for The Honorable Ralph A. Walker of the North Carolina Court of Appeals and co-founded Evans & Rice, PLLC prior to returning to Ferikes & Bleynat, PLLC in 2009.


Evans is active with the North Carolina Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section, and regularly devotes time to Pisgah Legal Services as a hotline attorney and Mountain Area Volunteer Lawyer. Evans has been on the executive committee of the employment law section of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers (now North Carolina Advocates of Justice).

We are located in the Chestnut Hills Historic District near downtown Asheville, North Carolina.
From downtown Asheville: 
Go North on Biltmore Avenue which becomes Merrimon as it passes under I-240. Turn Right on Broad Street which is one street after the light at West Chestnut. We are the second house on the right at 21 Broad Street. Easy street parking is available.
From I-240:
 The directions are the same whether you are coming from the East or West on I-240. Exit at Merrimon Avenue. Turn Right which is North on Merrimon. Turn right on Broad Street which is the first street after the light at East Chestnut. We are the second house on the right at 21 Broad Street. Easy street parking is available.
